How can i download music on my i-pod from my friends computor?

i was wondering if any of you guys know why my ipod wont download any music off my friends computer so i bought it form another friend and she already had downloaded it from here laptop cuz she had it for 2 yrs and then sold it to me and stuff and i didnt have i-tunes at the time so i gave it to another friend so she could get music on thier and she did the first time it worked and she earased and deleted it without any problems she took off like 200 old songs and downloaded lke 200 new songs and it worked without a problem but now we tried it today and it wont work we dont even know why though would you guys say that its the ipods problem or is it the computor that has the problem like we tried the usb cord the right ones and everything and the ipods just a norma ipod a 2gb i know it cant hold much songs so if any of you know whats wrong with it can u plz tell me how to work it on either my new laptop yes i got a new one or even hers since she put the musci on hers the first time and it worked and now it dosnt or will i have to go back to the original owner to download the songs? if you guys could answer tha twould be so amazing plz answer if u know the answer to this question thank you guys so much really appreciate it hope u guys can help? :_)
