Do fireworks hurt the Ozone layer?

I was watching the fireworks on TV, the Macy's fireworks for 4th of july, and I thought this question. Do fireworks have pollutants in them that will hurt the Ozone layer? Because if they do, all the recycling and 'going green' we've been doing, was just a waste if everyone who blew off fireworks slowly destroys the ozone.
