Isn't it hypocritical of Americans accusing others of stereotyping them, when they are the worst at it?

I believe everyone stereotypes, and that just does't limit Americans. But we the American people are unfortunately more gullible than people from other nations, and believe everything told to us on face value. So we might stereotype people more than the vice versa, although it's a two way street.
