After 2 months I cannot remember what happened?

I was in a motorcycle accident early in the morning about 2 months ago, but I still can't remember anything. Landing on my head(with helmet) I recieved an inter axial hemorrhage near the backside of my brain. I just want to know what would cause such severe memory loss. I don't remember waking up that morning, I don't remember talking to anybody in the ER even though I was. I only have about 2 seconds of memory up until about 9 that night. Any feedback is appreciated!
